Umbrian surroundings

The B & B is situated on the northern border with Tuscany, because of its strategic position it is possible to visit medieval villages by car within minutes.

We are 7 km from the town of Città di Castello on the Tevere river, a town enclosed with medieval walls. It also has a thermal spa which goes back to the Roman period . (Video Città di Castello).

From Città di Castello following the course of the river Tevere after about 50 km, we reach Perugia, Umbria’s capital city and ancient capital of umbrian. A city still retains all the charm of its past. Towards to Rome following the course of Tevere Valley about 70 km we find Todi is a medieval jewel of rare beauty.

After 30 km of travelling towards the Apennines, we find Gubbio, a medieval town with a wealth of monuments and events that celebrate medieval traditions. Near to Perugia (10 km) lies Assisi, known throughout the world as the city of St.Francis, full of atmosphere of faith and history. Only 5 minutes from Assisi along the highway is Spello, the Umbrian city with a great number of Roman remains and artistic masterpieces by Pinturicchio. After 20 km from Spello we reach Spoleto, the city is famous for its Festival of the Two Worlds and includes architectural jewels from various period.

You can also easily reach also Florence, Siena, Rome and even nearby natural wonders such as Lake of Trasimeno in a short time. About 40 minutes by car towards the Adriatic Sea is the Republic of San Marino and immediately after is the beautiful Adriatic coast (Rimini Riccione).
